Digital and visual submissions can be supplied on CD-R, DVD-R disk or USB flash drives.
When preparing digital and visual submissions for moderation:
only send the performances or work to be moderated
for visual submissions complete Page 2 of the cover sheet below to clearly identify the student whose work is to be moderated
use clean CDs, DVDs or USB flash drives
remember to 'finalise' then check that disks can be read in other devices
all common file format types are acceptable
do not send Blueray disks, Hi8, DV or MiniDV tapes, or HD files.
Apple Macintosh users must ensure that submitted files can be read easily on a PC.
package materials carefully in bubble-wrap or similar packaging to avoid damage to CDs or DVDs
check that a USB flash drive is secure to ensure that it does not get lost, e.g. in an envelope or taped to the cover sheet.
Strategies for successful student identification include:
a personal introduction
a voice-over introduction of the student
placing all of each student's work in a folder named after the student e.g. 'ST'. Each file within the folder is named and numbered to indicate the sequencing of the work, e.g. 'ST1.jpg', 'ST2.jpg', etc
submitting a student's work in the form of a PowerPoint presentation which clearly sequences images as separate slides in the slideshow. Written student evidence may be added as notes if PowerPoint is used.
